Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American as well as a Canadian artist and singer. Her catalog includes more than 20 albums. Her songs are classified as folk or alternative rock. However, they also have influences of jazz hip hop punk and rock and roll. Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as an icon of women's rights, and Grammy-winning artist, is believed to be the pioneer of DIY music.
