Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American as well as a Canadian artist and singer. Her catalog includes more than 20 albums. Her songs are classified as folk or alternative rock. However, they also have influences of jazz hip hop punk and rock and roll. Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as an icon of women's rights, and Grammy-winning artist, is believed to be the pioneer of DIY music. It was one of the pioneers to establish the label she created in the year 1990. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They were introduced in The Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is of Italian origin, while her mother was born in Montreal. Ani DiFranco composed and performed 32 Flavors. The track was first released on her 1995 sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. The song was featured in the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco acknowledged her apology in 2013, when the news broke she was planning to host 3 days of a workshop at one of the Louisiana ex-slave plantation. However, many (including this report) did not show any remorse. DiFranco made a second apology just a few days following her first apology. Although she is best known as Little Folksinger, her work covers a variety of kinds of music. Her collaborators are a wide range of artists, from Pete Seeger and Chuck D to Prince. Her home is New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is married to Kristen Ford. She was 14 when she began writing her own songs. The songs were performed in cafes and bars throughout her teenage years. DiFranco started taking classes at Buffalo State College at age 16 after graduating from the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. The baritone of Ani is a custom Alvarez guitar made following several consultations with Chrys the Alvarez artist representative at the time. It is built of solid woods, including a cedar top with mahogany sides and the back. It also has the System 600 Preamp. DiFranco is living at home near New Orleans with her husband with two kids and Lefty the dog that can be seen wandering in and out view as we talk. Thirty years into her career DiFranco acknowledges that she's got diverse feelings about seeing in the rearview. Punk/folk singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco attained musical heroine in the year 25 with both the public and critics with her seventh single Not A Pretty Girl in 1995.
