Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada. She is American. Over 20 albums were released by her. Her songs are classified by the label as folk or alternative rock. But, they are influenced by hip-hop, jazz, and punk. Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as a feminist icon and Grammy-winning performer, is regarded as the founder of DIY music. It was one of the very first musicians to start her own label in the year 1990. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a former student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were students at the same school. Her father was of Italian roots and her mother was a Montreal native. Ani's song, 32 Flavors was composed by her and sung by Ani. This song appeared on her 5th studio album Not a Pretty Girl which was released in 1995. A variation of the track is included on the film soundtrack for 1999's Canadian love story Better Than Chocolate. In 2013 DiFranco apologized after it was announced that she was hosting a three-day workshop on the former Louisiana slave plantation. Although she cancelled the workshop however, a lot of people (including the authors of our article) were not able to feel regret. DiFranco apologized a couple of days afterward. Although she is known as the Little Folksinger, her music has embraced many styles and collaborations that range between Pete Seeger to Chuck D to Prince. Her home is New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is a friend of Kristen Ford. At 14, she began to compose her own music. They were performed at coffeehouses, bars, and in the streets throughout her teenage years. DiFranco began attending courses at Buffalo State College at age 16 after graduating from the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Her new baritone is created by custom Alvarez built by Chrys Johnston who at that time was working as an Alvarez Artist Rep.
