Ariel started her acting career at a young age, starring in a Cool Whip commercial at age six. At the age of 7 she was offered her first television role on an episode of CBS's comedy show Listen Up! After these roles her next role was to appear in Monk Bones and ER. In 2007, she was cast in the role of Gretchen in The Disney Original Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. She had her breakthrough live-action role in the role of Alex Dunphy in the hit TV show Modern Family two years later. Her cast won four Screen Actors Guild Awards for their Outstanding Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Series. Ariel continues to voice characters from films like ParaNorman Cloudy, With A Chance Of Meatballs & Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. Ariel is purple belted in Taekwondo.
